Franchise Notes: Borussia Mönchengladbach Opens China Office

Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach registered a company in China and opened an office in Shanghai, the club's first overseas office. The company, named Borussia Mönchengladbach (Shanghai) Sport Development Co. Ltd., is wholly-owned by the club and will be legally represented by Peter Hambuchen. Martin Thiess will be its GM, with Stephan Schippers and Guido Heinz Uhle serving as supervisors and Hambuchen as the exec director. The new office was opened on Tuesday (YUTANG SPORTS, 10/18).

English Football League CEO Shaun Harvey will meet with League One side Charlton staff as part of his review into Roland Duchâtelet's ownership of the "troubled club." Staff members are "locked in dispute" with Duchâtelet over unpaid bonuses and his cost-cutting measures (London EVENING STANDARD, 10/18).
