Event Notes: Lego Group Produces Giant Replica Of Ryder Cup Trophy

In recognition of the first Danish European Ryder Cup team captain, Thomas Bjørn, the Lego Group produced a giant replica of the Ryder Cup trophy. The trophy, which comprises 169,397 Lego bricks, took three people 264 hours to build, weighs 88kg and measures 2.38m tall. The replica trophy will be on display in the West Championship Village throughout Ryder Cup week (Lego). 

More than a thousand League Two side MK Dons season-ticket holders are expected to join Tottenham supporters in the "home" end for Wednesday's English Football League Cup match against Watford at Stadium MK. Tottenham asked to move the third-round clash to Milton Keynes because its new £850M ($1.12B) stadium is "still not ready and Wembley is unavailable." Dons season-ticket holders can buy up to four seats from Tottenham’s allocation for a section of the upper tier at the 27,500-capacity stadium (London EVENING STANDARD, 9/25).

Tencent Games and PUBG Corporation announced the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge, a global PUBG Mobile tournament with squads representing Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Japan/Korea and China competing for a share of a $600,000 prize pool. The event will be sponsored by Samsung Galaxy Note9 and stage its finals in Dubai at the end of '18 (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 9/24).
