Marketplace Roundup: NZ Rugby Partners With Red Bull For Ignite7

New Zealand Rugby teamed up with Red Bull to ignite New Zealand Rugby’s search for future rugby sevens stars. Red Bull was named the key partner for Ignite7, a sevens talent identification program which has attracted more than 500 registrations since the concept was launched in July. The partnership and sponsorship agreement will be in place for the next three years in what represents the brand's first major step into the New Zealand rugby market (Red Bull).

TCL Electronics confirmed its sponsorship of the 2018 Melbourne Cup Carnival for the 14th year. The brand will also sponsor A-League side Melbourne Victory in '18-19, the third year of the partnership. As part of the Melbourne Cup Carnival deal, TCL will be the title sponsor of the TCL TV Stakes race on Oaks Day, which is traditionally known as "Ladies Day" (APPLIANCE RETAILER, 9/19).

German esports organization PENTA Sports revealed it will be working with film studio 20th Century Fox. The team will promote upcoming films like "Alita: Battle Angel" and "X-Men" movies within the esports and gaming space. 20th Century Fox branding will also be applied to a segment of the PENTA Sports Performance Center in Berlin. A 450-square-meter area of the center will be outfitted with movie-themed decor (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 9/18).

European esports agency Good Game Management signed a deal with esports organization Fnatic. Good Game Management will work to develop partnerships for Fnatic with brands in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 9/18).
