MK Dons Fans Offered Tickets To Tottenham-Watford Match

Tottenham's third-round EFL Cup match against Watford will be staged at Stadium MK.GETTY IMAGES

League Two side Milton Keynes Dons fans were "offered the chance to buy tickets" for Tottenham's upcoming English Football League Cup clash with Watford after Tottenham struggled to sell them to its own members, according to Alex Martin of the London DAILY MAIL. Season-ticket holders at the Stadium MK were told they can "purchase up to four tickets for the third-round match and will be sat in a designated section in the upper tier." The 30,500-seat stadium became the "last-minute venue" for the EFL Cup match after Tottenham's new stadium "hit significant delays and Wembley Stadium became unavailable." It is "not clear how many tickets remain unsold for the fixture," which will be played on Sept. 26, but every Tottenham season-ticket holder who wanted to attend "received their full application." The tickets "were put on general sale to Tottenham fans on Tuesday, the same day the offer was extended to MK Dons" (DAILY MAIL, 9/18).
