KEITH HELLAWELL, who "narrowly survived a boardroom vote a year ago," is standing down as chair of Sports Direct. The retailer said that Hellawell decided to step down after nearly nine years on the board. He will be replaced by DAVID DALY, a non-exec director. Sports Direct Senior Independent Dir SIMON BENTLEY is "also stepping down after more than a decade" on the board and NICOLA FRAMPTON, the managing director of William Hill's U.K. retail division, will join the board as non-exec director next month (LONDON TIMES, 9/12). ... Perform co-Founder OLI SLIPPER was appointed exec chair of Pitch Int'l. Slipper replaces TREVOR EAST, the former head of ITV Sport and deputy managing director of pay-TV broadcaster Sky. East will remain with Pitch as a partner and board member and will continue to be involved in the company's day-to-day business (SPORT BUSINESS, 9/12). ... IOC Dir of Strategic Communications & PR REBECCA LOWELL EDWARDS confirmed she will step down in November after about 17 months on the job. Edwards is the first person to hold that title, which was posted for more than a year before she was hired. The IOC did not say if it intends to recruit a replacement. Edwards, believed to be the highest-ranking American paid employee of the IOC ever, said that she is relocating her family back to the U.S. as her mother battles cancer (Ben Fischer, Staff Writer). ... CALEB FOX, a former business development consultant for games and esports at Microsoft, joined Ginx TV in the newly-created role of SVP, global multi-platform development. The appointment comes as Ginx Esports TV is about to launch in new territories and is "seeking to deliver more ways for its community to interact with the brand" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 9/12). 

COACHES/MANAGERS: Frenchman THOMAS LIÈVREMONT is the new head coach of Romania's men's rugby team, the Romanian Rugby Federation announced. He will coach the team until after the 2023 Rugby World Cup (ROMANIA INSIDER, 9/12). ... JOSÉ ANTONIO CAMACHO's "troubled spell" as Gabon's national football coach has come to an end, with the Gabonese Football Federation confirming his exit on Wednesday. The former Spain coach has overseen a "troubled" int'l break in which the team needed a second-half equalizer to rescue a point at home against Burundi in Africa Cup of Nations qualification (ESPN.com, 9/12).
