Marketplace Roundup: Barcelona Signs Korean Brand SK Lubricants

Barcelona named SK Lubricants its official lubricant partner for South Korea, China, Russia, Thailand and Vietnam for the next three seasons. The deal, which was announced in Beijing, is Barcelona's first with a South Korean company (Barcelona).

Aer Lingus will remain the official airline of Irish Rugby through '21 after renewing its sponsorship arrangement with the Irish Rugby Football Union (Irish Rugby).

Premier League club West Ham announced telecom Lycamobile will remain an official partner for the next three years. Lycamobile has been a partner of the club since the '12-13 season, and it also sponsors the West Ham Foundation (Lycamobile).

Liverpool renewed its partnership with car brand Morris Garages China for the '18-19 season (Liverpool).

Premiership Rugby side London Irish announced waste management company Powerday will remain the club's principal sponsor for the '18-19 season. Powerday is in its sixth season as the club's main sponsor (London Irish).

Volkswagen will sponsor Australian golf's top pro-amateur teams event, which will now be known as the Volkswagen Scramble. As well as securing the naming rights to the event, Volkswagen will become the official car partner of the Australian PGA Championship and the Fiji Int'l (PGA).

Chinese Super League team Dalian Yifang named insurance company Aeon Life an official partner. The partnership will run until Dec. 31 (YUTANG SPORTS, 8/15).

Betway appointed Saatchi & Saatchi London as its new lead creative agency. Saatchi & Saatchi will work on Betway’s multi-million pan-European account, developing creative concepts for the U.K., Ireland, Spain, Germany and Belgium as key target markets for the betting operator (SBC NEWS, 8/17).
