Everton became the first Premier League club to solely use its women's squad to launch its new kit. The Women's Super League side's Chloe Kelly, Megan Finnigan, Danielle Turner and Kirsty Levell were featured in the club's away kit release on Thursday. The move came as "part of the #WhatIf social media campaign," launched by Women in Football in May (BBC, 7/19).
Ligue 1 side AS Monaco partnered with Konami Digital Entertainment for PES 2019. The club, its players and Stade Louis II will be made available via download shortly after launch (Monaco).
League One side Burton Albion confirmed construction and refurbishment contractor Prestec UK Ltd. as its main shirt sponsor for home and away shirts for the next two years, replacing betting company Tempobet, which sponsored the club's kit for its two League Championship seasons. Prestec will also be featured on "Albion supporters' shirts" (BURTON MAIL, 7/20).
League One side Bristol Rovers announced Football INDEX as its new front of shirt sponsor. Football INDEX is the world's first football stock market, "where traders can buy and sell shares in professional footballers, meaning fans are able to bet on the future successes of players -- rather than just gambling on short-term results" (BRISTOL POST, 7/20).
Crystal Palace announced a multi-year global partnership agreement with Hong Kong-based global logistics brand Royale Int'l as its official logistics partner (Crystal Palace).
The Portuguese national football team partnered with bank BPI through the 2022 World Cup. The side's previous sponsorship agreement with Novo Banco ended after the recently-concluded World Cup (ECO NEWS, 7/17).
The Caribbean Premier League announced Spanish oil company Repsol as a partner for the '18 tournament, with a special focus on the seven games to be played in Guyana. Repsol will also have a presence at the other 27 league matches, which will be played across six locations (CPL).
The Berlin 2018 European Athletics Championships extended its association with official partner Toyo Tires (European Athletics).
