FFF Sponsor Promises 'Full Reimbursements' If France Wins

Chinese electric oven manufacturer Vatti promised its clients a “total reimbursement” of their purchases if France wins the World Cup, according to LE PARISIEN. The company, which is a French Football Federation sponsor, “hoped the promotion would boost sales.” But with Les Bleus in the World Cup final, the company’s shareholders are “worried.” The company agreed to "return the full amount" spent on every Vatti “champion package” product purchased from June 1-30. The refund covers a set of four products for a total value of 16,100 yuan ($2,413). Concern among shareholders grew as France continued to advance in the tournament. Vatti shares on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange have lost 51.7% of their value since June 14, the start of the tournament (LE PARISIEN, 7/12).
