A men's doubles match at Wimbledon was reported to gaming and tennis authorities as suspicious after an "out of the ordinary" late shift in odds, according to Jack Kerr of the ABC. Int'l bookmaker Pinnacle Sports confirmed the first-round match was "flagged as suspicious due to irregular betting patterns." Pinnacle Sports Integrity Manager Sam Gomersall said that the company noticed "a series of bets from accounts with a history of wagering on suspicious matches" placed in the hour before the match began. Some of the players involved in the match are ranked in the singles top 100. The match cannot be identified "for legal reasons," but "efforts to contact the relevant players" have been made (ABC, 7/11).
