Norwich City Reveals Woodforde's As Sponsor For Barclay Stand

League Championship side Norwich City announced brewery Woodforde's as the new sponsor for Carrow Road's Barclay Stand for the '18-19 season, according to Dan Grimmer of the EASTERN DAILY PRESS. The Woodbastwick-based brewer takes over from Coral as the sponsor of the stand, with Carrow Road execs welcoming a "substantial long-term stand partnership." From July 30, the Barclay Stand "will continue to keep its name, but will be referred to as the Barclay Stand sponsored by Woodforde's." The stand will undergo a "visual transformation" ahead of the club's first home game of the season, against West Bromwich Albion on Aug. 11 (EDP, 7/10).

A TOUCH OF PRESTIGE: In Hartlepool, Liam Kennedy reported National League side Hartlepool United announced The Prestige Group, which is owned by club Owner Raj Singh, will sponsor the Cyril Knowles Stand for '18-19. This is the second sponsorship deal announced this summer, with East Durham College "branding the Mill House Stand," which will now be called the Neale Cooper Stand. Singh bought Hartlepool at the end of last season, committing more than £1.2M in cash to the club "to stave off the threat of administration and potential liquidation" (HARTLEPOOL MAIL, 7/10).
