Media Notes: RDA Appointed As Pro14's Exclusive Media Rights Agency

RDA was appointed as the exclusive media rights agency for the Pro14's int'l distribution rights (excluding the U.K., Ireland, Italy and South Africa) in a three-season agreement from '18-19 to '20-21 (Pro14). 

BeIN Sports exclusively broadcast the round of 16 World Cup match between Spain and Russia, which Russia won in a shootout, and drew a record audience for the channel for an int’l football match. The pay-TV channel drew an average audience of 1.46 million viewers. During the shootout, the match hit a peak audience of 1.95 million viewers (L’ÉQUIPE, 7/2).

The Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee announced Deltatre will "design, create and power the Official Games Time website and mobile applications" for the 2018 Asian Games Jakarta Palembang (ADVANCED TELEVISION, 7/3).

Cyfrowy Polsat launched a new package that will offer live coverage of the Champions League and Europa League. Polsat Sport Premium is available to new and existing subscribers and consists of new channels Polsat Sport Premium 1 and Polsat Sport Premium 2 in Super HD, as well as four premium PPV services. Cyfrowy Polsat said that it is the first time that all Champions League and Europa League matches will be offered live in Poland (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 7/3).

Polish cable operator Inea "ceased cooperating" with Ekstraklasa side Lech Poznan. During a five-year agreement between the two parties, which expired at the end of June, Inea produced Lech TV, "Poland’s first-ever TV channel dedicated to a football club" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 7/3).

Football DataCo, the official data rights holder of all the professional football leagues in England and Scotland, granted Genius Sports the exclusive rights to supply and sublicense official match data and fixture lists to licensed betting operators in South Africa (Genius Sports).
