TV journalist RAJAT SHARMA and his team swept the Delhi & District Cricket Association elections, winning all 12 seats on offer. The DDCA elections, last held in '13, were conducted under the supervision of a High Court-appointed administrator. Sharma's opponents, former Additional Solicitor General VIKAS SINGH and MADAN LAL, backed by BCCI President C.K. KHANNA, were "thoroughly routed" (HINDUSTAN TIMES, 7/2). 

COACHES/MANAGERS: Super League rugby side Leeds Rhinos sacked head coach BRIAN MCDERMOTT after a club record seven successive league losses. McDermott succeeded BRIAN MCCLENNAN in Oct. '10 and went on to guide Leeds to "glory" in four Grand Finals. McDermott had been the league's longest-serving coach (PA, 7/2). ... Middlesex County Cricket Club head coach RICHARD SCOTT left the club "after nine years in the role." Former Middlesex cricketer RICHARD JOHNSON, who was Scott's assistant, "will take charge for the rest of the season" (BBC, 7/2).
