Haas Formula 1 Team Enjoys Historic Finish At Austrian GP

Haas Formula 1 "scored its biggest points haul" in F1 on its 50th grand prix entry by "getting both cars into the top five" at the Austrian Grand Prix, according to Sam Hall of AUTOWEEK. Romain Grosjean, "who had been taking a pounding in the media for his failure to score a championship point," finished fourth and teammate Kevin Magnussen finished fifth as the team moved to fifth in the Constructors' Championship. The fourth-place finish "could at least temporarily take some of the heat off Grosjean," who was "reminded recently" by Haas Team Principal Guenther Steiner that the team's '19 driver lineup "would be announced shortly after the summer break." Grosjean's 12 championship points moved him from scoreless to 15th place. Magussen moved to seventh in the standings (AUTOWEEK, 7/1).
