Lancashire Cricket Signs Five-Year Extension With Emirates

Lancashire County Cricket Club announced Emirates signed a new five-year extension of the club's T20 Blast shirt through '23, according to Nick Hill of BDAILY. The extension of the partnership is "in line" with the multi-year stadium naming rights contract that Emirates has with the club. Emirates' T20 Blast jersey sponsorship will continue to be "part of the airline’s family" of sporting partners, which include Real Madrid, AC Milan, Arsenal, the FA Cup, Paris St. Germain, Rugby World Cup 2019, Formula 1, global golf tournaments and others in Australian Rules Football, tennis and horse racing (BDAILY, 5/23). In Manchester, Stuart Greer reported the new agreement means that Emirates' shirt sponsorship of the club, "coupled with the Emirates Old Trafford naming rights," is "one of the longest running partnerships in cricket." The deal follows Lancashire Cricket's recent announcement of the club's operating profit of £2.3M for the year ending Dec. 31, which represented an increase of 92% on the previous year (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 5/23).
