Event Notes: SBU Warns Of Cyber Attacks Ahead Of CL Final

The Ukraine State Security Service (SBU) on Wednesday warned of a "possible cyber attack" on state bodies and private companies ahead of the Champions League final in Kiev on Saturday. The SBU is "particularly concerned that critical infrastructure appears to be a target" and believes Russia is behind the possible attack (REUTERS, 5/23).

The Americas Rallycross Championship (ARX) will make its debut at Silverstone as part of the Speedmachine festival from Friday-Sunday. Four qualifying rounds, followed by the semifinals and a final will be held across Saturday and Sunday. Cooper Tires will be the official tire partner of ARX (ARX).

Ubisoft will overhaul its esports structure for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. The Rainbow Six Siege Pro League will "move away from a bracket-style season to a traditional league format." Traditional league formats "have become a popular trend for professional-level esports," with the Overwatch League and NBA 2K League debuting this year. Each season will last 14 weeks, with "all teams playing at least one match each week." Seasons will culminate in an int'l championship featuring the two teams from each region with the best record (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 5/23).
