FuboTV Gets $75M Investment From AMC Networks, 21st Century Fox

Sports-focused OTT service fuboTV has closed on a $75M Series D funding round, with the funds aimed at accelerating the service’s ongoing expansion. The round included AMC Networks along with existing investors 21st Century Fox, Luminari Capital, Northzone, Sky and the former Scripps Network Interactive. The new funding essentially doubles fuboTV’s money raised to date and brings total fundraising to more than $150M. The money will be targeted toward engineering, product development and programming, among other areas. “This latest capital raise underlines a seismic shift in viewing behavior as consumers migrate from traditional platforms to streaming television,” said fuboTV CEO & co-Founder David Gandler. “The pay TV space is experiencing a renaissance.”
