Former McLaren F1 Chair Ron Dennis Treats Workers To Cirque Du Soleil Performance
Former McLaren Formula 1 Chair RON DENNIS "bowed out" from the team by spending around £350,000 ($483,000) to rent Royal Albert Hall so 3,000 workers "could enjoy a night to remember," according to Alex Matthews of the London DAILY MAIL. Dennis bid employees from his factory in Woking, Surrey, a "fond farewell by coaching them into west London, for a performance of Cirque du Soleil." His team won 20 world championships during his 36-year tenure. In addition to booking the theatre, Dennis provided "free champagne and wine for party-goers" (DAILY MAIL, 1/16).
