Bayern Munich Partners With Canadian Beverage Company OXiGEN

Bayern Munich signed a three-year partnership with Canadian performance beverage company OXiGEN, the sixth North American-based company that the German club has signed a partnership with since it opened its U.S. office in '14. OXiGEN, which produces oxygenated beverage products focusing on performance and recovery, will serve as the club’s official functional water and recovery tool partner. The partnership was rolled out during the club’s winter-break training camp in Doha, Qatar. Bayern, which currently ranks first in the Bundesliga, has leveraged the presence of its New York City office to strike deals and forge deeper partnerships with North American companies. In addition to OXiGEN, the club also has partnerships with North American-based Beats By Dre, Goodyear, Procter & Gamble, EA Sports and Apple. Bayern Munich President of the Americas Rudolf Vidal said in a statement that there are a number of initiatives planned that will aim to help both the club and the company “gain presence in new territories and retail networks.” The partnership will focus heavily on the Americas, Middle East and Asia. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
