Online retailer Fanatics announced its new Tokyo-based office will be led by MASANORI KAWANA, who will join the company as managing director of Fanatics Japan. Kawana will lead an initial team of roughly 30 employees, many of whom have experience with apparel brand Majestic, which Fanatics acquired in May '17 (Tyler Everett, SBD Global). ... COLIN MCLEOD was named GM of Fox Networks Group UK. McLeod assumed the position on Monday "on a part-time basis before taking up the role full-time in the early spring." His predecessor, JEFF FORD, will continue with Fox Networks Group as a consultant (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 1/8). ... Daily fantasy sports operator FanDuel handed CFO ANDY GIANCAMILLI the role of COO, as company co-Founder & Chief Product Officer TOM GRIFFITHS left the business. Giancamilli will continue as CFO in addition to taking on the COO role, "overseeing FanDuel's financial operations and corporate financing as well as the company's strategy." He will work alongside MATT KING, who took over as FanDuel CEO in November following the departure of co-Founder NIGEL ECCLES (GAMING INTELLIGENCE, 1/8). ... NIGEL WOOD was appointed CEO of the Rugby League Int'l Federation after "stepping down from his role with the Rugby Football League." Wood, who is currently serving as RLIF chair, will replace DAVID COLLIER when his contract runs out in May. He was appointed as Collier's successor by unanimous decision after "overseeing a successful World Cup" in '13 (SKY SPORTS, 1/8).
