Event Notes: Korean Men's Golf Tour To Offer Record Purse In '18

The Korea Professional Golfers' Association announced on Wednesday that its top-tier Korean Tour will have record total prize money of 14.1B won ($13.1M), with 17 tournaments lined up for next season. KPGA President Yang Hwee-boo said, "The number of tournaments in 2018 is down from this year's 19, but the total purse has increased 150 million won from this year" (YONHAP, 12/27).

India’s objection over Pakistan hosting the 2018 Emerging Teams Asia Cup might force Pakistan to exercise its "right" to pull out of the Asia Cup which will be staged in India in September next year, Pakistan Cricket Board Chair Najam Sethi warned on Tuesday. Representatives from India and Bangladesh were absent during the Asian Cricket Council meeting in Lahore in October after they raised their objections in an earlier meeting in Dubai (DAWN, 12/27).
