Olympic Notes: Hyundai To Provide Cars For PyeongChang 2018

Hyundai Motor Group said that it will "showcase its core technologies" during PyeongChang 2018. As an official tier-one sponsoring partner, the automaker "plans to offer 4,100 vehicles and a large amount of financial support" for the Games. Hyundai will operate self-driving buses and cars in a 200km section from Incheon Int'l Airport to PyeongChang (KOREA TIMES, 12/20).

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics organizing committee announced a collaboration with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Chuya Koyama, the author of the comic book "Space Brothers." Tokyo 2020 and Koyama will stage a series of experiments in the Int'l Space Station with the assistance of JAXA astronauts Norishige Kanai and Soichi Noguchi (Tokyo 2020).
