PRINCE WILLIAM "could attend the FA Cup final" on the day of PRINCE HARRY's wedding, after Kensington Palace insisted the two events "will not clash." Both spectacles are due to take place on May 19. Prince Harry is expected to marry MEGHAN MARKLE at Windsor Castle "in the morning," while the football final would kick off at Wembley at around 5:30pm (London TELEGRAPH, 12/17). ... Frenchman FRANÇOIS GABART set a world record for sailing around the world alone on Sunday, completing his journey in 42 days and 16 hours. The time beat the previous record set last year by his compatriot THOMAS COVILLE by "more than six days" (REUTERS, 12/17). ... A new bridge over the Nambucca River was named in honor of late Australian cricketer PHILLIP HUGHES, who died in Nov. '14 after being struck in the neck in a "freakish accident" while batting for South Australia against NSW at the Sydney Cricket Ground. A new Pacific Highway bridge over the river will be known as The Phillip Hughes Bridge (AAP, 12/16).
