Infront appointed JULIEN TERNISIEN as director of its reorganized summer sports business unit. The company separated its combined football and summer sports units from a management and leadership perspective. STEPHAN HERTH will focus exclusively on football. Ternisien, who will join Infront from the European Broadcasting Union, will assume his role no later than May 1 (Infront). ... Int'l Hockey Federation (FIH) CEO NARINDER BATRA was on Thursday elected president of the Indian Olympic Association for a four-year term. Batra, 60, received 142 votes, while rival ANIL KHANNA got 13. IOA Secretary General RAJEEV MEHTA was re-elected for his second term without any contest, while ANANDESHWAR PANDEY was elected treasurer and R.K. ANAND was elected to be SVP (PTI, 12/14). ... MARTIN MALIK was elected to be the new president of the FA of the Czech Republic at the association's extraordinary general meeting in Nymburk. Malik worked as a marketing director for Czech First League side SK Slavia Praha and GM of Czech football marketing company STES (UEFA). ... League One side Scunthorpe United appointed former England cricketer IAN BOTHAM as its new club president. Botham, 62, also played professional football, making 11 appearances for Scunthorpe from '80-85. He is the club's first president since JOHN GODFREY, who died in '15 (BBC, 12/14).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Argentine Superliga side Godoy Cruz named DIEGO DABOVE its new coach. He replaces MAURICIO LARRIERA, who "stepped down from the position last week." Dabove has coached Godoy Cruz's second team since January (TYC SPORTS, 12/13).
