League Notes: Senator Asks ASIC To Review Evidence Against Rugby Australia

Australian Senator Linda Reynolds wrote to the Australian Securities & Investments Commission asking it to review "new evidence of potential wrongdoing by Rugby Australia" that was revealed when a Senate inquiry completed its investigation last month. Emails "have come to light" which indicate Rugby Australia "helped orchestrate the sale" of the Melbourne Rebels to the Victorian Rugby Union "at a time when publicly it was saying that the Rebels could still be chopped from Super Rugby" (THE AUSTRALIAN, 12/6).

Mexico's suspended anti-doping laboratory has been reinstated "after correcting non-conformities," WADA said on Tuesday. The Laboratorio Nacional de Prevencion y Control del Dopaje had its accreditation revoked on Nov. 23 and was "prohibited from carrying out any anti-doping activities after failing to comply" with int'l standards (REUTERS, 12/5).

Nine world champions came together in Paris on Monday for the launch of the new FIA Hall of Fame. The initial location of the Hall is in the Automobile Club de France, but there are "ambitious plans for another one" at FIA's HQ in Geneva that will "celebrate other global championships" (MOTORSPORT, 12/5).
