Media Notes: Volvo Ocean Race Inks Deal With China's Sina Sports

The Volvo Ocean Race and Sina Sports in China agreed to a content partnership that will see video and digital coverage from the '17-18 Volvo Ocean Race distributed across the Sina Sports platforms. Along with an 11-part TV series that begins this month and runs monthly through July, Sina Sports will feature weekly race updates, regular news highlights, streaming of race leg starts, in-port races and leg finishes, and arrivals of the fleet into each port stopover (Volvo Ocean Race). 

Spanish broadcaster Movistar TV announced it will "once again carry NBA games" -- as it has since '95 -- after renewing its contract for three seasons (LIBERTAD DIGITAL, 10/13).
