Neymar Sports plans to open up to 100 units in four countries (Brazil, the U.S., Australia and China) over the next three years (Neymar Sports). ... Competitive shooter MICHAEL DIAMOND will target the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games "after his firearms convictions were quashed by a NSW court." The 45-year-old appealed "after he was found guilty in May of drink-driving and firearms offences and banned from holding a gun licence for 10 years." But a judge on Thursday "ruled the gun he was carrying in his car was safe" (AAP, 10/5). ... Cricketer BEN STOKES is to be awarded an England central contract "when the list is announced on Friday." The announcement was due on Wednesday, but has been delayed. Test vice-captain Stokes was "arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm in September after an incident outside a Bristol nightclub." He and teammate ALEX HALES, who is set for a renewed limited-overs contract, "will not be considered for selection until further notice" (BBC, 10/5). ... After serving 11 aces in his win over MISCHA ZVEREV at the China Open on Wednesday, NICK KYRGIOS pledged $50 for every ace "to help victims of hurricane-hit Puerto Rico." The 22-year-old "joined forces with MONICA PUIG to donate $10 for every ace he hit until the end of the year," but said in a statement that he was raising the amount after reaching the quarterfinals in Beijing (REUTERS, 10/4).
