Liverpool on Friday submitted a planning application for changes to the Kenny Dalglish Stand, according to Richard Bell of BDAILY. The club is seeking permission from Liverpool City Council to "update signage on the renamed Centenary Stand at Anfield." The plans include the installation of illuminated signage and exterior graphics at the front of the stand (BDAILY, 9/22). In Liverpool, Fraser Smith reported along with the sign being updated, Liverpool fans "will also see the club crest on the Kop both relocated and restored." The news came a day after the club confirmed that it submitted further details over redevelopments of the academy at Kirkby. Dalglish, 66, now a non-exec director at the club, first joined Liverpool as a player from Scottish side Celtic in '77 (LIVERPOOL ECHO, 9/22).
