Atlético's Team Store Reportedly Reaches €200,000 In Merchandise Sales Over Weekend

Atlético Madrid "is already starting to profit from its new stadium," according to David Vinuesa of LIBERTAD DIGITAL. The fanbase's excitement surrounding the team's first game at the Wanda Metropolitano "translated into a spectacular atmosphere before, during and after Saturday's game against Málaga and also had an impact on shirt and merchandise sales." Atlético's team store at its new stadium reportedly reached more than €200,000 ($238,600) in sales over the weekend. Merchandise sold included jerseys, sweatshirts, pennants and posters (LIBERTAD DIGITAL, 9/18).
