The Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) named JOSÉ IGNACIO HERNÁNDEZ its technical director of women's national teams. He previously coached Spain's women's national team to a bronze medal during the 2010 FIBA World Championship for Women (EFE, 9/6). ... KIM BARNETT extended his contract with Derbyshire County Cricket Club and will be its cricket adviser for the '18 season. Barnett rejoined at the end of the '16 season as director of cricket, working with coach STEVE STUBBINGS and captain BILLY GODLEMAN, and "will retain the same role but with the new title" (BBC, 9/6). ... London-listed betting and gaming operator Paddy Power Betfair appointed JAN BOLZ as an independent non-exec director. Bolz is an experienced iGaming exec, having served as CEO of Malta-licensed operator Tipico from '11-16. He also served at Electronic Arts in "a number of positions" including VP of int'l marketing & sales and for Bertelsmann Music Group as managing director of its BMG Ariloa Munich subsidiary (GAMING INTELLIGENCE, 9/6). ... National Rugby League side South Sydney Rabbitohs assistant coach ANTHONY SEIBOLD will be announced as Manager MICHAEL MAGUIRE's replacement on Thursday. Seibold is "set to rise to the helm" of the club after Maguire's exit was confirmed on Tuesday. Seibold, 42, was "shortlisted" for the vacant Gold Coast Titans coaching job, but Rabbitohs officials "moved swiftly to lock up the highly regarded Queensland State of Origin assistant to lead South Sydney's resurgence" (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 9/6).
