K League Side Gangwon To Move From Ski Jumping Center To Songam Stadium

K League side Gangwon said Tuesday that it will "move into a new home stadium next season," according to YONHAP. Gangwon "currently uses" the Olympic Ski Jumping Centre in PyeongChang. Next season, Gangwon said that it "will play at Songam Stadium" in Chuncheon, a city in Gangwon Province located 85km east of Seoul, after reaching an agreement with the Chuncheon city government. Gangwon is "familiar with the 25,000-capacity Songam Stadium" because the club played some matches at the venue in '09. Gangwon previously used Gangneung Stadium in Gangneung as its home ground, "but after earning a promotion" to the K League this season, the club has been playing at the ski jumping center (YONHAP, 8/22).
