Marketplace Roundup: Borussia Dortmund Announces Partnership With Hair Care Brand Gard

Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund announced a partnership with hair care and styling product manufacturer Gard. The company will receive brand exposure inside the club’s Westfalenstadion during the '17-18 season. Gard will also sponsor a football school due to be launched later this year (SOCCEREX, 7/6).

Scottish Rugby announced Crabbie's alcoholic ginger beer as the official sponsor of Scottish Rugby match officials. The new deal will see the Crabbie's logo on the official jerseys of all Scottish Rugby match officials in Premiership games and across all leagues and cup matches. Crabbie's will continue its position as official partner of Scottish Rugby, Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors for a further two years (Scottish Rugby). 

Man City extended its partnership with Asian direct selling company QNET for three years. The extension sees QNET remain the official direct selling partner of the club until '20 (Man City). 

Rugby union player management company Top Marque Sports announced its merger with James Grant Group, an integrated management and professional services company in sport, music and entertainment. TMS represents over 60 int'l players (RUNNING RUGBY, 7/6).

Barcelona and Emirates NBD Egypt announced a partnership for the Egyptian bank to become a club sponsor until June '20. The two parties will create a prepaid card with which the bank's customers will receive benefits such as match tickets and exclusive draws for Barcelona-themed materials (Barcelona). 

League Championship side Leeds United announced pay-as-you-go energy supplier Utilita Energy as the club's junior replica shirt sponsor for the '17-18 season. The agreement will also see the company support the Leeds United Foundation in the community (BDAILY, 7/6).

Premiership rugby side London Irish announced a four-year partnership with apparel brand XBlades Sports. The partnership will start this summer and will see XBlades provide Irish's home and away kit at senior and academy levels, as well as training wear and leisure apparel (RUNNING RUGBY, 7/5).

FIFA and the U17 World Cup India 2017 local organizing committee announced Coal India Ltd. as a national supporter for the tournament. Coal India Ltd. joins Bank of Baroda and Hero MotoCorp as national supporters of the tournament (FIFA). 

Ligue 1 side Nice and French health insurance firm Mutuelles du Soleil renewed their partnership for one year. Mutuelles du Soleil has been the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor since the ’11-12 season (Nice).

Ligue 2 side AJ Auxerre announced Macron as its kit provider. The Italian brand signed a three-year deal, and succeeded Airness. Macron will provide matchday and practice kits for the club’s first-team and academy players. Lagardère Sports brokered the partnership (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 7/5).

The French Basketball Federation (FFBB) announced it renewed its partnership with financial services company Caisse d’Epargne. The firm has been a partner with the FFBB for three years and signed a four-year extension. The Caisse d’Epargne logo will continue to be featured on the back of Team France’s jerseys (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 7/4).

UFC announced a multi-year partnership with Legends Hospitality. The fan service provider will serve as the organization's official global event retail partner. The partnership, negotiated by IMG, will see Legends manage UFC retail shops at all events and fan experiences (UFC).
