Northern Ireland Football League side Linfield announced the resignation of JIM KERR, who has been club chair since '07. Kerr "also quit his role as a board director of the Windsor Park club." No reason was given for his departure "midway through the season" (BBC, 1/10). ... The Permanent Bureau of the FIM MotoGP World Championship appointed LORIS CAPIROSSI as Dorna Sports' representative in race direction (FIM). ... Havas Sports & Entertainment is going to be "integrated into the wider Havas group," as its CEO PEDRO AVERY "steps down." The French company said its sports and entertainment specialists would now be placed "at the core" of Havas Group's client teams to provide integrated service within the 46 Havas Villages worldwide. Avery will "move on to new projects outside Havas" (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 1/10). ... London-listed gaming technology and services provider Playtech appointed ANDREW SMITH as its new CFO, replacing RON HOFFMAN, who will now "focus solely" on his role as CEO of Playtech's Financials division (GAMING INTELLIGENCE, 1/10).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Former Scotland rugby captain BRYAN REDPATH is "to quit rugby union to take up a job in the financial sector." Redpath, 45, will leave his role as head coach of Yorkshire Carnegie at the end of the Championship season (BELFAST TELEGRAPH, 1/10).

MP & SILVA APPOINTS EXECS: MP & Silva announced it appointed WU SWEE SIN as managing director, Asia Pacific (excluding China, Japan & Korea). Wu, who will start the new role on Feb. 1, has over two decades of int'l management experience. Wu joins from Lagardère Sports Asia, where he held the joint roles of SVP of commercial football Asia, and country manager for Greater China. He held leadership roles in The Walt Disney Company, IPG/Octagon, WPP/Group M and WWE Int'l. MP & Silva also announced two promotions in its senior management team. KONSTANTINOS FILIPPAS, formerly managing director of Europe, has been promoted to group exec director of content. In addition, ROLAND NIKOLAOU, formerly VP of sales, has been promoted to group exec director of commercial (MP & Silva).
