Event Notes: Almost 100,000 Fans Attended Pro12 Games In Round 11

Close to 100,000 supporters attended Pro12 games in Round 11 "which is the second-highest figure in the history of the competition." The combined gate of 99,617 "beats the 92,085 total set in Round 5" in the '10-11 season. Games at Kingspan Stadium, Thomond Park and BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park "hosted sell-out crowds while BT Murrayfield, Liberty Stadium and Stadio Monigo also recorded their highest attendances of the campaign" (RUNNING RUGBY, 12/28).

Wales’ two home Six Nations matches this season -- against England and Ireland -- have reportedly "both sold-out, despite top-price tickets reaching" £100 ($123) for the first time. With "high demand" from Welsh clubs and their members, plus debenture holders and official supporters’ club members "snapping up" tickets, there will be a 74,500 capacity crowd at the Principality Stadium for both games. This is "despite top price tickets being pitched" at a new high of £100 for the visit of title holders England and £95 ($116) for the Irish encounter (RUNNING RUGBY, 12/27).

UFC announced a multi-year partnership with Brazilian event operator IMM. IMM is a joint venture between Mubadala Development and WME-IMG and will oversee event operations for all UFC Brazil events beginning in '17 as well as sponsorship and ticket sales in-market via its TUDUS platform (UFC).
