PCB Chair Shaharyar Khan Says Matches With India To Be Discussed At ACC Meeting

Pakistan Cricket Board Chair Shaharyar Khan said that Pakistan "was not begging India to play cricket against them," according to Kashif Abbasi of DAWN. Khan: "Both India and Pakistan have to play bilateral cricket according to Memorandum of Understanding signed between them. Pakistan will plead its case at the upcoming meeting of the Asian Cricket Council. We have consulted our lawyers to advise us on the issue." In '14, the PCB and the Board of Control for Cricket in India signed MOUs for six bilateral series to be contested during eight years from '15 to '23, with Pakistan staging four of them. But "because of India’s refusal," this MOU could not be implemented. The last full series between the countries, including Test and One Day Internationals, was held in '07 when Pakistan toured India (DAWN, 12/1).
