The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) has appointed STEFAN HOLZ as its new managing director, effective on Tuesday. Holz is replacing JAN POMMER, who left the league in the summer (BBL).

FOOTBALL FOUNDATION APPOINTMENTSCHRIS POWELL was named an ambassador for the Football Foundation, the U.K.'s largest sports charity, which develops better grassroots sport facilities with money from the Premier League, the FA and the Government. Powell played for Charlton Athletic, West Ham United and Leicester City and earned five England caps under SVEN-GÖRAN ERIKSSON. He also served as chairman of the Professional Footballers' Association for the last five years of his career. FA CEO MARTIN GLENN joined the foundation's board as a trustee. He replaces JONATHAN HALL as one of the FA's two nominated trustees on the seven-member board. Hall announced that he was stepping down after six years as a trustee (Football Foundation).
