NBA Signs Marriott As Official Hotel Of International Games During '15-16 Season

The NBA has signed a sponsorship deal with Marriott that makes the company the official hotel of several int'l NBA events throughout the ‘15-16 season. The deal begins in Johannesburg, South Africa, for the upcoming NBA Africa Game on Saturday and also includes the '15 NBA Canada Series that features four preseason games held in October throughout the country. It also includes the ‘15-16 NBA Global Games, with preseason games in October in Brazil, China, Italy and Spain. The NBA’s int'l regular-season games set for Dec. 3 in Mexico City and on Jan. 14 in London also are part of the deal. Financial terms of the one-year deal were not disclosed, but it gives Marriott Rewards members access to NBA games and events in the int'l markets along with meet-and-greet events with NBA legends and players. The league did not have a hotel deal last year for its int'l games. The NBA this season is playing a total of 10 preseason or exhibition games outside the U.S.
