Marketplace Roundup: Ducati Appoints IMG As Global Licensing Representative

Ducati Motor Holding has appointed IMG as its exclusive global licensing representative, in a multi-year deal to work across all Ducati-licensed products. The Ducati brand licensing activities will be supported by an IMG team based in Milan, which will work closely with both management at the Ducati Motor Holding HQ and IMG’s global licensing team (IMG). ... The Manor Marussia F1 Team announced a new partnership with Flex Box, a leading worldwide manufacturer and supplier of new shipping, storage and reefer containers. As an official team partner for the remainder of the season, the relationship gets underway with effect from the 2015 F1 British Grand Prix (Manor F1). ... Belgian Pro League side Oud-Heverlee Leuven named global online food ordering company Just Eat its new main sponsor. Just Eat has "come on board" as the shirt sponsor of the Belgian club for the '15-16 season. No financial terms of the deal were released (SOCCEREX, 7/6). ... EPL side Aston Villa announced that Betfair and bet365 have become official partners of the club and both companies will have co-exclusive rights in the betting category. Both will have the right to be associated with Aston Villa and activate the partnerships globally and both will appear on the club's LED screens and interview backdrops (Aston Villa). ... Serie A side Hellas Verona named Italian natural gas company Metano Nord its new main sponsor in a three-year deal. The agreement will see Metano Nord sponsor the front of the Italian team’s jerseys until '18 (SOCCEREX, 7/6). ... ORICA-GreenEDGE has debuted a new vehicle fleet at this year’s Tour de France courtesy of a sponsorship agreement with Renault. The partnership with the French car company will see the team driving new 2015 Renault Megane for the remainder of the season and full '16 season. The women’s outfit, ORICA-AIS, will also use the new Renault vehicles (GreenEDGE). ... League Championship side Reading announced that British supermarket chain Waitrose signed an agreement to continue its partnership with the club for an eighth season. Waitrose’s name will be displayed on the back of the ’15-16 home shirt. Reading’s partnership with Waitrose began in '08 (Reading). ... League Championship side Ipswich Town signed a new five-year contract with Advanced Ticketing. Advanced will remain the club’s technology partner and the club will continue to use its TALENT Sport e-commerce platform (ISPORTCONNECT, 7/6). … Bath assets and sanitary ware brand Prayag Polymer Pvt. Ltd. bagged the title sponsorship for the upcoming India-Zimbabwe One Day Int'l series. Prayag has collaborated with ITW as its sports marketing partner in this initiative (ANI, 7/4).
