The Turkish Basketball Federation has a new leader after HARUN ERDENAY was elected as president on Wednesday. Erdenay was handed a mandate to lead the organization after receiving 93 of the 174 votes that were cast by members. Prior to his election as TBF president, Erdenay also served as TBF board member and as VP. He was also elected to the FIBA Europe board in May '14 (FIBA).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Brasileiro side São Paulo "arranged on Tuesday a contract" with JUAN CARLOS OSORIO as its new coach "for two seasons." Osorio "arrives to fill the spot" left by former coach MURICY RAMALHO and interim coach MILTON CRUZ, who coached the club for 10 matches (GLOBO ESPORTE, 5/26). ... German second-tier basketball club Hamburg Towers Managing Dir PASCAL ROLLER "has resigned from his position with immediate effect." The reason for Roller's resignation "is reportedly differences about the team's future" (HAMBURGER ABENDBLATT, 5/27). ... TREVOR BAYLISS "has been appointed" as the first Australian to coach of England cricket. He succeeds PETER MOORES, "whose second spell ended in a sacking in early May." Bayliss led Sri Lanka from '07-11, took temporary charge of Australia for its Twenty20 series in South Africa in '14 "and has coached Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League." Bayliss "will take up his new role in June, in time for the start of the Ashes series against Australia which begins in July" (BBC, 5/26).
