Hannover 96 President Martin Kind Says Relegation Could Result In $32M Loss

Bundesliga side Hannover 96 President Martin Kind said "potential relegation would result in a loss" of around €30M ($32M), according to Michael Richter of KICKER. While getting relegated from the top flight "would represent a substantial financial hit, it would not threaten the club's existence." Kind: "We also would be [financially] healthy in the 2nd Bundesliga." Instead of increasing its current budget of €70M ($76M) per year to more than €100M ($108M) annually, the club "would have to cut back." The first cut "would impact the player payroll." Currently, the club's player payroll is around €39M ($42M) (KICKER, 4/15).
