Marketplace Roundup: Dortmund Coach Jürgen Klopp Signs Three-Year, $3.3M Deal With DVAG

Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund coach Jürgen Klopp "has agreed to a three-year deal with invesment company Deutsche Vermögensberatung AG." Klopp joins German Football Federation (DFB) Sports Dir Hansi Flick, Olympic Gold Medalist fencer Britta Heideman and extreme athlete Joey Kelly "on DVAG's list of brand ambassadors." Klopp will receive an estimated €3M ($3.3M) (BILD, 3/26). ... Xiamen Airlines has launched an official partnership with the Badminton World Federation World Championships in Jakarta. Xiamen will be the official airline partner for the BWF World Championship 2015 in Jakarta. This is the BWF's first official partnership with an airline. Both parties will engage in a "Fly with Passion" campaign. Xiamen will receive brand exposure via extensive TV coverage in more than 30 countries and to more than 1 billion viewers. This is the first time Xiamen is using a top sporting tournament as a form of brand exposure promotion (BWF). ... Usha Int'l has extended its association with Indian Premier League club Mumbai Indians team for the eighth and ninth seasons of the IPL tournament as an official partner. As a part of the collaboration, the Usha logo will be seen on the leading side of the caps and helmets of the players. Usha will also collaborate with Mumbai Indians to create exclusive marketing campaigns and is "entitled to have multiple players for consumer engagement" (INDIAN TELEVISION, 3/27). ... The IAAF Diamond League meeting in Stockholm is entering a partnership with BAUHAUS, which means that, for the first time since '67, the competition will change its name from DN Galan and will now be known as Stockholm BAUHAUS Athletics (IAAF).

WEST HAM EXTENDS WITH LYCAMOBILE: EPL side West Ham announced that mobile partner Lycamobile will remain an official partner for the next three years. Lycamobile has been a sponsor of the club since the '12-13 campaign and the renewal sees the deal extend to include the first two seasons in West Ham's new stadium (West Ham).
