Havas Sports & Entertainment announced that Global COO JEROME DE CHAUNAC will oversee global operations from his new base in N.Y. The move is a continuation of the strategic development of the network internationally, which has seen a reorganization of its global team, after President & Global CEO LUCIEN BOYER’s relocation to London at the beginning of the year. De Chaunac will maintain his global role which focuses on developing the network of 35 offices in 24 countries, as well as pushing commercial growth and partnerships (Havas SE). ... The three sitting members up for re-election at this year's South Australian Cricket Association board election -- President ANDREW SINCLAIR, SALLY NIEHAUS and NATHAN ADCOCK -- "have been returned to the 13-member board, echoing approval for the revolutionary overhaul of the state’s new cricket and football home." A field of 17 candidates, including the sitting members, "had nominated" (THE ADVERTISER, 9/3). ... Second Bundesliga club Erzgebirge Aue "is without leadership" after President LOTHAR LÄSSIG announced his resignation on Wednesday. Lässig's "move follows the resignation" of VP JENS STOPP and "the firing of head coach" FALKO GÖTZ. Lässig said, "I've been thinking if I'm still the right person for the position of president. Unfortunately, the negative voices on social media have contributed to my doubts and led me to my decision to step down from my position with immediate effect" (BILD, 9/3).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Former ManU midfielder RAY WILKINS "has been appointed the head coach of Jordan." The ex-England int'l, who played for ManU between '79-84, was most recently assistant to RENE MUELENSTEEN at Fulham, until his dismissal in February. Wilkins, 57, "will be assisted" by former Arsenal forward FRANK STAPLETON (BBC, 9/3). ... League Championship club Huddersfield Town appointed CHRIS POWELL as its new manager. The former England defender "has been out of work since being sacked by Charlton in March." Former Huddersfield player ALEX DYER "will join as Powell’s assistant and they will work" with fellow assistant manager STEVE THOMPSON, first-team coach STEVE EYRE and head of goalkeeping NICK COLGAN (London GUARDIAN, 9/3).
