Abu Dhabi Media (ADM) "signed an agreement with the regional pay-TV provider OSN to offer ADM’s suite of high-definition channels," including its four HD sports channels, on the OSN network from Sept. 1., according to John Everington of THE NATIONAL. ADM’s existing HD channels, which also include Abu Dhabi Al Oula, Abu Dhabi Drama and Abu Dhabi Al Emarat, "will shortly afterwards be joined by a new premium HD channel, Abu Dhabi Drama+." ADM’s four paid-for sports channels "offer a range of content including the UAE’s Arab Gulf League, with live games aired three times per week." Abu Dhabi Sports channels also "have exclusive rights to broadcast the 2016 UEFA European Championship qualifiers," the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix and the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. OSN CEO David Butorac said, “We understand the passion that our subscribers have for sports content, and we are excited to be able to offer the strength of ADM’s sports channels to our subscribers and even more premium Arabic entertainment choice" (THE NATIONAL, 8/19).
