Media Notes: FINA Announces Partnership With TV Network Globosat In Brazilian Territory

The Int'l Swimming Federation (FINA) announced a partnership with TV network Globosat for the broadcasting rights in the Brazilian territory from '15-22. The agreement comprises the following FINA competitions: FINA World Championships in '15, '17, '19 and '21; FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) in '16, '18, '20 and '22; FINA Diving World Cup in '18, '20 and '22; FINA Synchronized Swimming World Cup in '18 and '22 (FINA). ... The IOC awarded Seven West Media Ltd. (Seven) the Australian broadcast rights for the Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018 and Tokyo 2020 Olympics, as well as the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing in '14. Seven has acquired broadcast rights on all media platforms (IOC). ... Lord’s Cricket Ground "is set to get an upgrade in its digital ouput" after the Marylebone Cricket Club hired sports producer Sunset+Vine to handle its YouTube channel as well as content across the Lord’s Facebook and @ Home of Cricket Twitter feed. Sunset+Vine "will be creating new content several times a week using a mixture of newly shot original content and by repurposing MCC’s extensive archive" (ISPORTCONNECT, 8/4).
