Costa Rican HERNAN MEDFORD "has taken charge of Honduras, replacing World Cup coach" LUIS FERNANDO SUAREZ. Suarez "resigned after his team lost all three matches to finish bottom of their group at the World Cup in Brazil last month" (REUTERS, 7/30). ... BMB Founder and PR agency Seven Dials Chair ANDREW MCGUINNESS has been appointed CEO of Freud Communications. At the same time, Freud is taking a "significant minority" stake in Seven Dials, the agency that was founded by BMB and former London Independent editor SIMON KELNER. McGuinness "will remain the chairman of Seven Dials" (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 7/30). ... Scottish Premiership side Celtic CEO PETER LAWWELL "has been appointed to the main board of the Scottish FA." The SFA confirmed that Lawwell and Scottish Professional Football League Chair RALPH TOPPING "would join the board after nominations by the Professional Game Board" (HERALD SCOTLAND, 7/30). ... LUIZ FELIPE SCOLARI "has been named as coach of Grêmio only three weeks after leading Brazil to their most embarrassing World Cup result." The Brasileiro club said on its Facebook page, "The commander is back." Scolari, who also led Portugal to the Euro 2004 final and a World Cup semifinal in '06, "had a brief spell at Grêmio in 1987 and returned in 1993 for a much more successful four-year spell." He will replace ENDERSON MOREIRA (London GUARDIAN, 7/29).
