Nike Golf "announced two new appointments to its global senior management team," with SIMON PARKHILL appointed to the role of GM of Nike Golf Japan, and BRIAN KARL to the position of commercial sales director of Nike Golf EMEA. Since arriving at Nike in '01, Parkhill "has played a number of key roles for both the Nike Brand and Nike Golf" including assuming the position of Nike Golf sales director of U.K. and Ireland in '06. As successor to Parkhill in Europe, Karl "has accepted the position" of EMEA commercial sales director. The 15-year Nike Golf veteran was most recently the director of sales for national accounts in the U.S (GOLF BUSINESS NEWS, 7/29). ... LARS RADOOR SOERENSEN has been appointed COO of Puma, effective Friday. He joined Puma in November and has led the areas of Business Processes and Intelligence as well as Information Technology. Lars was previously the COO at Bestseller and Esprit and before that he held leadership roles at Adidas and Lego (Puma). ... Inter Milan appointed DAN CHARD as its new director of global partnerships. President ERICK THOHIR said Chard is “tasked with making the club more efficient in developing and spreading the Inter brand both at home and abroad" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 7/29).

COACHING CHANGESALEJANDRO SABELLA, who led Argentina to the World Cup final in Brazil, has decided to quit as the national team coach. JOSE PEKERMAN, who coached Colombia to the World Cup quarterfinals, and former Barcelona coach GERARDO MARTINO are considered the frontrunners to take over for Sabella. (REUTERS, 7/29). ... Spanish Basketball League (ACB) side Baloncesto Sevilla named SCOTT ROTH its new coach. Roth replaces AÍTO GARCÍA RENESES. He previously worked as an assistant coach in the NBA with various teams including the Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors, in addition to a stint as the head coach of the Dominican Republic's national team (EFE, 7/29). ... Spanish second division side Real Zaragoza announced that ÁNGEL MARTÍN GONZÁLEZ will be the club's technical secretary for the next two seasons. Real Zaragoza announced the hire on Tuesday morning and he is expected to be formally introduced by the club on Wednesday (MARCA, 7/29). ... Tough Mudder named NBC Sports Ventures Dir of Sales DAN WEINBERG VP of global partnerships (THE DAILY). ... Octagon promoted JOSH GREEN to creative director for Europe, the Middle East and India. Green will relocate from Connecticut to London and report to Octagon VP/Strategy JOEL SEYMOUR-HYDE (Octagon). ...
