Marketplace Roundup: BBL Signs Deal With Btty To Become League's Official Betting Partner

The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) has reached a deal with sports betting app btty to become the league's official betting partner starting with the '14-15 season. Btty is a product of the Ruleo Alpenland GmbH, and the deal will take effect on Friday. The multi-year deal will provide btty with extensive communications and advertisement measures (BBL). ... Bundesliga side Werder Bremen has signed a deal with Hoyer consortium to become the club's official gas station partner. The deal, which was brokered by marketing partner Infront Sports & Media, will run for three years. In addition, the club has partnered with grills and grill accessories provider Landmann. The focal point of the collaboration will be video boards at the Weser Stadium (Werder Bremen). ... Kenyan football club Gor Mahia unveiled a three-year deal kit deal with Sports Studio, an Italian representative of apparel manufacturer Joma. The deal is worth €30,000 ($40,300) annually. The club will receive home, neutral and away shirts, training kit, tracksuits, fan jackets, replica jerseys and other merchandise (THE STAR, 7/25). ... Czech club Slavia Prague "has secured betting operator Fortuna as its new shirt sponsor in a three-year deal." The value of the sponsorship deal was "not disclosed" but local reports are that the club's budget for '14 will "remain at the same level as the previous year" -- at €4.2M ($5.6M) (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 7/28). ... Bulgarian football side Levski Sofia's new lead sponsor is Lev Ins AD Insurance Company. The contract is "for just six months -- until the end of the calendar year." Levski CFO Konstantin Bazhdekov said he hopes the partnership with Lev Ins "will continue after this period." Lev Ins takes over from mobile company Mtel. Financial terms "were not disclosed" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 7/28). ... Atlético Madrid announced a deal that will extend its partnership with Nike "for at least another 12 years." Extending the current deal means the partnership is "set to continue until at least 2026" (MARCA, 7/26). ... Nishikawa Sangyo Co. said on Monday that Neymar will appear in an advertisement for its mattresses developed for athletes. He will appear in a commercial for the three-layer mattress "AiR" (KYODO, 7/28). ... Arsenal and BT Sport on Monday extended their partnership for a further two years. The partnership enables BT Sport to continue to promote its football coverage, including exclusively live Premier League football through the club's digital channels in the U.K. and Ireland. In addition, the agreement will give the broadcaster access to Arsenal's first-team players and manager to create unique and exclusive content to support and enhance BT Sport's Premier League coverage (Arsenal). ... League Championship side Leeds United announced a four-year commercial partnership with Zebra Claims Ltd. The new partnership will lead to the creation of 90 new jobs that will be based from office space inside Elland Road. Under the new agreement, Zebra will receive a comprehensive package of marketing and branding rights at the stadium and across the club's digital marketing platforms (Leeds United).
