Marketplace Roundup: Marketing Firm W Sportsmedia Launches In Stockholm

Sport marketing firm W sportsmedia launched on Friday with a head office in Stockholm, Sweden. The company will work across the sport marketing field and be divided into W Athletes, W Events, W Productions and W Academy. The exec management in W sportsmedia consists of CEO David Nilsson, Head of W Productions Karel Jonák, Head of W Events Erik Nilsson, Head of Sponsorships Mari Haugli and Head of W Athletes Oskar Svärd. David Nilsson has a background in the sport marketing business at IEC in Sports, where he in '07 started working with media rights sales for Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, South and North America (W sportsmedia). ... La Liga side Valencia's shirt for the upcoming season, which will be made by adidas, has been leaked. The "club had been trying to keep the design of the new shirt a secret until Tuesday." The new shirts will go on sale Wednesday (SUPERDEPORTE, 7/14). ... La Liga side Getafe announced that real estate intermediary Tecnocasa will be its principal shirt sponsor for the next three years. The club also revealed its new kit for the '14-15 season, including a change to its third uniform, which will be yellow (Getafe). ... Golf Australia has added Accor Hotels Australia as its exclusive accommodation partner. The new deal is in addition to the hotel's multi-year arrangement with the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open (Golf Australia).
