Stuttgart-based agency Roth & Lorenz announced that PETRA SCHNITZLER and ANDREA VOSSEN will join agency Founder ULRICH ROTH as managing partners. Schnitzler and Vossen "have been members of the management for more than two years" (W&V, 7/10). ... DAVID COLLIER "will retire" as CEO of the England & Wales Cricket Board at the end of the season, after 10 years in the job. Collier was CEO of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Gloucestershire "before joining the ECB." His departure "is the third major change to the hierarchy of English cricket in the past year," following PAUL DOWNTON's appointment as managing director and PETER MOORES replacing ANDY FLOWER as national head coach (BBC, 7/13). ... Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli announced that miner and commodity trader Glencore CEO IVAN GLASENBERG "would become a director" of the 140-year-old company. He "will be joined on the board" by state-owned Russian energy provider Rosneft Chair IGOR SECHIN. Sechin is one of Russian President VLADIMIR PUTIN's "closest advisers who is also the target of American sanctions imposed after Russia annexed Crimea." Glasenberg and Sechin "have worked together on several big deals in the past." Last year, for example, Rosneft "signed long-term trade finance agreements with Glencore for the supply of five years worth of crude oil deliveries" valued at $10B. Six Italian directors "have now left the board" of Pirelli (LONDON TIMES, 7/12).

WALKING AWAY: Saudi Arabian Prince NAWAF FAISAL FAHD ABDULAZIZ has resigned from his position as president of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee. As his membership of the IOC was linked to his function as president of the NOC, it therefore ceased at the same time (IOC). ... The Int'l Rugby Board has appointed FA of Singapore Deputy Dir for Development & Planning RIDZAL SAAT to become its rugby manager for Asia, a newly created position in the organization. Ridzal joined the FAS in '10. Prior to that, the former national rugby player was the GM of the Singapore Rugby Union (FAS). ... The Golf Foundation and Ladies European Tour announced that MIKE ROUND will be joining the Ladies European Tour as director of development and membership after 14 successful years as the charity’s CEO. Round joined the Golf Foundation at the beginning of '98 as the organization’s first development officer and went on to oversee the growth of the organization’s operations and its impact on its key stakeholders (LET). ... Former Algeria coach VAHID HALILHODZIC "has taken over as manager of Turkish club Trabzonspor." The 61-year-old "led Algeria past the group stage at a World Cup for the first time in their history during Brazil 2014." Halilhodzic "will be in his second spell at Trabzonspor, having also managed them in 2005" (BBC, 7/13).
