British two-time Olympic champion MO FARAH will compete for England in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters at next month's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The 129-strong team also includes Olympic long jump champion GREG RUTHERFORD and 2008 Beijing Games Gold Medalist CHRISTINE OHURUOGU, although she "will only run the 4x400m relay" (REUTERS, 6/17). ... The public prosecutor's office of the Spanish Supreme Court has asked Judge PABLO RUZ to summon Barcelona player NEYMAR's father to "testify as a witness and postponed the decision on whether to summon" Barcelona President JOSEP MARÍA BARTOMEU to "declare as the accused in place of his predecessor in the post," SANDRO ROSELL, until July 22. Spanish prosecutor JOSÉ PERALS also "requested invoices" from '13 corresponding to the "payment of a 5% commission on the fixed and variable income of Neymar Jr. and of the their jointly-owned company, N&N" (MARCA, 6/17). ... Supermodel GISELE BÜNDCHEN "will present the World Cup to the winners in Brazil, according to reports." Bundchen will replace Brazil President DILMA ROUSSEFF, "who has been criticised for spending public money on hosting the tournament" (London DAILY MAIL, 6/17). ... Australian Football League club Port Adelaide's DARREN BURGESS has become the "highest-paid high performance manager in the AFL after committing to the game's top-of-the-ladder club" until the end of '18. Burgess will command an estimated A$2M ($1.9M) over four years in a deal which "overrides his current contract that ends in 2015" (THE AGE, 6/17). ... Former F1 driver MICHAEL SCHUMACHER's rehabilitation is "expected to take years, although his waking periods have become progressively longer over the past few weeks." Despite reports that he "can now hear voices, respond to touches and 'communicate with his environment,' some medical experts" remained skeptical about his ability to make a "full recovery" (London TELEGRAPH, 6/17). ... Caterham F1 has confirmed that test driver and academy member WILL STEVENS will drive the team's 2014 CT05 F1 car on July 8 at the Silverstone F1 test, which will take place after the British GP (Caterham F1).

GUILTY OF MATCH-FIXING: Singapore businessmen CHANN SANKARAN, 33, and KRISHNA SANJEY GANESHAN, 44, who also has U.K. nationality, "were found guilty of conspiracy to commit bribery on Tuesday in relation to England's biggest football match-fixing scandal for some 50 years." The jury cleared footballer HAKEEM ADELAKUN, 23, who used to play for Whitehawk FC in Brighton, of the same charge and "is still considering verdicts on fellow former Whitehawk players" MOSES SWAIBU and MICHAEL BOATENG (REUTERS, 6/17).
