Mexican Second Division Side Delfines Del Carmen Players Receive Delayed Payments
Mexican second division club Delfines del Carmen players on Wednesday "finally received four months of payment that they were owed," according to Jesús Hernández Téllez of LA AFICION. The "payments had been delayed because of an investigation into club owner Amado Yáñez's company, Oceanografía." The players "received the salary they were owed thanks to help from Mexican Football Federation (FMF) Player's Association Dir Daniel Bonilla." Despite "attempts by Oceanografía execs to avoid paying the players, a ruling was made in their favor and they were paid" (LA AFICION, 6/11).
